Homework Assignments

For the first few weeks at least, all homework problems will be assigned from Freund. I will give the problem numbers as they appear in both the 11th and the 12th editions.

When the problem numbers are the same for both books, I will give one number for the problem, but when the texts differ, the first number always corresponds to the 12th edition (blue cover) of Freund, and the number in parentheses corresponds to the 11th edition (black cover) of Freund.

To be more specific, if you have the blue book, for the first HW assignment you will do 1.2, 1.10, 2.2, 2.4, etc. If you have the black book, you will do 1.4, 1.12, 2.2, 2.4, etc.
