A Word from the Director
Welcome to the web site of the Mathematics in Finance Workshop and Conference Center.
We are excited about the upcoming Courant/MIT alumni event on June 15 with Peter Carr, IAFE/Sungard Financial Engineer of the Year, and Managing Director, Morgan Stanley. I can also announce that the 3rd Annual Algorithmic Trading Conference is in the works.
Over the past 12 months, thanks to your continued attendance and support, we held a number very successful workshops (see, Past Events tab) including the sold out workshop High-Frequency Finance and Quantitative Strategies, on December 10-11, and Recent Developments in Derivatives Pricing, on June 19-20, in Dilip Madan's honor. The 2nd Annual Algorithmic Trading Conference had over 400 participants!
The mission of the Center is to provide the finance community with continuous learning and networking opportunities, covering areas from foundations in quantitative finance to the most innovative and latest cutting-edge research. Our programs aim to integrate theoretical concepts and practical applications, with the goal of making them appealing to practitioners and academics alike.
I invite you to join us in this exciting mission.
Sincerely yours,
Petter Kolm Director, Mathematics in Finance Workshop and Conference Center
