About me
Welcome to my homepage.
Currently I am a Courant Instructor in the Department of Mathematics
at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences (New York University) .
I obtained my Ph.D in 2011 under the supervision of Prof. Rick Durrett from the Department of Operations Research & Information Engineering at Cornell University . Before that I completed my Bachelors (B.Stat) and Masters (M.Stat) in Statistics with a specialization in Mathematical Statistics and Probability from Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata in India.
Research Interests
My primary research area is probability theory and its applications. My research interests include random networks, stochastic spatial models, first-passage percolation, percolation, as well as processes that arise in applications to physics and biology.
Selected Papers (full list)
- Contact processes on random graphs with power-law degree distributions have critical value 0 (with Rick Durrett).
- Persistence of Activity in Threshold Contact Processes, an "Annealed Approximation" of Random Boolean Networks (with Rick Durrett).
- Asymptotic Behavior of Aldous' Gossip Process (with Rick Durrett).
