Research

My research interests lie in the areas of Machine Learning, Biostatistics, Dimensional reduction and numerical linear algebra. Data collection has always been an essential tool for better understanding a system. Examples include clinical data from several patients to quantify side effects of a new drug, or precipitation and temperature data to understand climate changes in a region. In recent times, the proliferation and increasing power of computing technology has multiplied the size of our data sets. I am interested in methods for reducing the dimensionality of the data, so that its essential characteristics are still preserved. I am especially interested in interdisciplinary projects, both in Neuroscience and Medicine.
I am working under the supervision of Esteban Tabak.
