Financial Support

The organizers of the 16th International Conference on Domain Decomposition Methods have applied to several US federal agencies for financial support of the meeting, in order to keep the registration cost low. In addition, it is expected that there will be some support to defray the travel and lodging expenses of graduate students and postdoctoral scientists presenting technical papers and posters at the meeting. It will not be known until closer to the meeting what pool of funds will be available and what restrictions on eligibility apply. Full-time students and post-docs who wish to be considered for travel support should send an e-mail so stating, at the time of submission of their technical contribution or afterwards, to dd16@cims.nyu.edu. The first round of awards will be announced by personal reply e-mail prior to 11 November 2004 (60 days' notice to the meeting starting date). If available, a second round of awards will be announced prior to 11 December 2004 (30 days' notice to the meeting starting date).
